This workshop will enable you to:

• Better understand sensory motor development
• Understand the different domains of sensory motor development
• Differentiate between fine motor and gross motor development
• Understand the importance of the motor development activities
• Establish a baseline of knowledge of the motor development skills
• Understand how fine and gross motor development forms part of the Grade R syllabus in preparation for school readiness
• Acquire skills to further enhance the use of the motor skills in the Grade R classroom
• Recognise the value of the child being ready for formal schooling
