This workshop will enable you to:

• Understand what is assessment FOR learning and what is assessment OF learning
• Interpret the revised annual teaching plan (ATP) for Mathematics grade 2 term 2
• Recognise the link between the ATP and the formal assessment framework
• Understand the purpose of the Teacher assessment plan and guidance on how to develop one.
• Rework marks to fit SASAMS requirements
• Implement differentiated teaching and assessment practices in the classroom
• Unpack the steps to plan and develop a balanced formal assessment task
• Apply the different cognitive levels when setting a formal assessment task
• Develop oral, practical and written assessment tasks (Homework)
• Analyse data according to the example recording sheet
• Share possible intervention strategies to address the identified problem areas
