This workshop will enable you to:
- Explain why projects and events matter at an ECD Centre
- Differentiate between a project and an event and describe similarities in their management.
- Demonstrate leadership as a principal in guiding projects and events.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and support team collaboration.
- Use strategies to motivate staff, even when projects or events require extra time.
- Follow and apply the full project cycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure, sustainability).
- Conduct structured planning sessions with clear objectives.
- Develop objectives, target audiences, and assign roles and responsibilities.
- Prepare and manage budgets, including sponsorships and contingency planning.
- Create event concepts and programs suited to ECD communities.
- Coordinate event logistics to ensure smooth execution.
- Promote events to maximise participation and support.
- Manage events confidently on the day.
- Monitor and evaluate outcomes for improvement.
- Plan for closure and sustainability to secure long-term benefits
- Identify potential risks and understand the compliance requirements that apply to projects and events.
