The Snappy Sounds Anthology includes 20 fiction and non-fiction genre texts, offering a variety of exciting, engaging and diverse stories, used to read aloud. It fosters a love for reading, expands vocabulary, builds listening and comprehension skills, provides opportunities for discussions and creates a sense of belonging.

The Anthology features:
• Phonics support: the component reinforces all language skills, including phonics, through various texts.
• Integration: the Anthology complements other Snappy Sounds components through theme-related stories, highlights new vocabulary and is supported through additional guidelines in the Teacher's Guide.
• Teacher and language support: the component provides guidance through Teacher’s notes and a glossary.
• Computational thinking and 21st century skills: the component fosters skills through various creative activities.
• Activities: the component offers creative and collaborative activities in Teacher’s notes and the Teacher’s Guide.
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI): the component showcases diverse, human rights stories developed to celebrate inclusion and uphold the South African Constitution.
