Outcomes of Workshop

This workshop will enable you to:

• Describe the effects of changing the parameters a, p and q, in changing the shape of graphs, making graphs narrower or wider, and shifting them up or down and horizontally
• Use the technique of plotting multiple graphs to demonstrate the effects of changing the parameters a, p and q
• Draw graphs given the values of a, p and q
• Sketch graphs of the inverses of the straight line, parabola and exponential graph
• State restrictions on the domain of the original function for the inverse to be a function too
