This workshop will enable you to:

• Know text features to introduce while reading a novel
• Implement reading and viewing strategies to focus in a novel
• Know that the plot is written in a specific way
• Summarise a poem
• Know how to remember and analyse the character traits of the cast
• Understand how to read a poem
• Follow the steps to analyse a poem
• Summarise the poem by using a given wheel
• Know the purpose of teaching poetry
• Implement different approaches in poetry, namely chronological approach, author approach, theme approach and genre approach
• Learn to overcome time constraints in the literature classroom and choose the right genre to benefit the learners in your school
